Q Why do insects not gather?
Instinctively insects gather to ultraviolet wavelengths.
Therefore, insects gather at the windows due to the ultraviolet light generated from the fluorescent lights in the room at night.
The glass coating blocks the UV light from flowing out of the windows, and shields bugs and moths from gathering to the windows.
